2 John Eve

Born 1566 in Abbess Roding. where he also died - date unknown. He married but the name of his wife is unknown. He had the following children :

  • Marian Eve; Born 1592 in Abbess Roding. She married Robert Ramsey, in 1617 in White Roding.
  • Richard Eve; Born 1594 in Abbes Roding.
  • Rosa Eve: Born 1597 in Abbes Roding. She married Anthony Peacock, in 1627 in White Roding
3. Weston Eve

Born 1569 in Abbess Roding. He died 1633 in Abbess Roding. He was married three times He first married Joan Glascock in 1593 in Stamford Rivers. She died about 1603. He second married Elizabeth Dowset, 1604 in Abess Roding. She died in 1615 in Abbes Roding. They had the following children :

  • Ann Eve; Born About 1606.
  • Susan Eve; Born 1612 in Abbes Roding.
  • Elizabeth Eve; Born 1607 in Abbes Roding.
He third married Clemence Luce, 1620 in Abbes Roding

EVENTS

1600 - he was an overseer to the will of his brother in law Thomas Dyer of Retteden who was married to his sister MARY (born 1567)

1615 - he is mentioned as being the brother in law of John Barnard who married his sister MARIAN in 1604.

1616- WESTON and his brother RICHARD were debtors in the will of Nicholas Peacock.

1622 - he was the overseer in the will of Richard Crowe of Abbess Roding.

1628/9 - He was a footman at Hadham Hall, Hertfordshire to Lord Salisbury. In the same yer he and his brother ADAM sent a capon to Mr Capel at Christmas.

WESTON EVE left a will in 1633. He lived at the time in Abbes Roding and was married to Clemence Luce to whom he left the farm "Corksmiths' in White Roding. His three daughters ANN, ELIZABETH and SUSAN are left household belongings. His brother ADAM and his brother in law John Dowsett are also mentioned in the will

4. Richard Eve

Born 1571 in Abbess Roding. He died in 1629 in Willingale Doe. He married Ann Fanne, 1600 in Leaden Roding. They had the following children :

  • Weston Eve; Born 1601 .Rc died in the same year
  • Richard Eve; Born 1602 in White Roding.
  • Thomas Eve; Born 1605 in Leaden Roding.
  • Adam Eve; Born 1610 in Naverstock. He died After 1671. There are records which show that in 1637 he paid ship tax of 3 shillings at White Roding. In 1671 he paid for 5 hearths in Hearth Tax at White Roding.
  • Sara Eve; Born About 1612.
  • Anna Eve; Born About 1615.
  • Seth Eve Born 1620 in Matching.
In 1593 he bought land from WESTON his brother whilst living at Doddinghurst and was then a husbandsman. In his will of 1629 RICHARD EVE who lived at Willingale Doe as a gentleman, was a Yeoman of His Majesties Chamber. In his will 'to my son RICHARD now beyond the seas .... To my son Seth (under 21), to my daughters SARA and ANN ... To my son ADAM and wife Ann.

5. Adam Eve

Born 1575 in Abbess Roding. He died in 1650 in Abbess Roding. His wifes name was Jane. They had the following children: :

1607 - ADAM EVE and his brother THOMAS sold to Hugh Ince, rector of Greenstead, three messuages, Kingstons, Corksmiths and Hamstall - three acres.

1627 - ADAM of White Roding along with Henry Aylett and John Ewers were ordered to keep the peace with Edward Lukin, yeoman of Margaret Roding.

1632 - He was called a friend in the will of Zachary Bateman.

1637 - He had to pay ship tax of £2 at Barwick Barns, Abbes Rodings and possibly 6d for a house in White Roding for his son ADAM.
