27 William Raiford Eve
William Raiford Eve was born on the 7th Feb 1847. He died on the 21st Jan 1916 Beaufort County, Sc. He is buried at Hammond Cemetery, Beech Island, Aiken Co, Sc. He was the son of Edward A. Eve (14).
He married Elizabeth Hammond on the 7th Dec 1871 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. Elizabeth was born on the 4th Oct 1849 and died on the 18th May 1941. She is buried in Hammond Cemetery, Beech Island, Aiken Co., Sc

- Catherine Fitzsimons Eve (33) - born 15th Sept 1872 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 15th April 1928. She married George Twiggs Bryan who was born in 1857.
- Edward Armstrong Eve (34) - born 27th Oct 1873 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. He died on the 6th March 1965. He married twice. First marriage Saidee Ancrum (born 1883). Second marriage Eva Verdier (born about 1877)
- Sarah Jane Eve (35) - born 17th Aug 1875 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 19th Feb 1958. She married Benjamin Warren Fair who was born in 1866 in Sept 1902.
- Annie Hampton Eve - born 20th Oct 1876 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 17th July 1964. She never married.
- Aphra Eve - born 19th Sept 1887 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 20th Sept 1887.
- William Raiford Eve (36) - born 4 Jul 1878 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. He died on the 21st May 1965 in Florida. He married Margurite Coffman who was born in 1892.
- James Hammond Eve (37) - born 16th Jan 1880 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. He died on the 17th Jan 1955. He married Flora Lee Dancy (born 19th Jan 1880 Savannah, Chatham, Georgia) She died in Jan 1964 in Savannah, Chatham, Georgia. They married on the 7th June 1905.

- Henrietta Eve (38)- born 4th Nov 1884 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 29th Sept 1923.She married Paul Hammond Dunbar (born 1879)
- Christopher Cashel Eve - born 20th Sept 1886 at Beech Island, Aiken, Sc. He died on the 21st Sept 1886.

- Philip Henry Eve (39) - born 19th Jan 1891 at Beech Island, Aiken, Sc. He married Martha Fitzsimmons Ford (born about 1895) on the 27th Jul 1915.
Background
The family moved from Georgia to South Carolina around 1885.
Elizabeth Hammond was educated by governesses and in private schools. She accompanied her parents to Washington DC when her father served in the US Senate. She traveled with her mother and sister to New York, London and France from January to September 1866.
William Railford Eve was a volunteer at the age of 16 in Johnson's Army of Tenn. He was a prisoner of war for about 11 months in Chicago. In 1867 he graduated as an MD from the University of Georgia. He later became a planter. The family moved many times from 1873 to 1903. They settled on the Eve Farm on Broad River.

Benjamin Hall Eve - born about 1856. His father was Oswell Bones Eve (16). He married Addie Winter Trowbridge in 1878. She was born in 1858. She died age 77 on the 27th January 1935. They had seven children.. They had the following children.

John P Eve was born in February 1857 in Georgia. He is the son of Oswell Bones Eve (16). He married Mattie Lovelace in about 1882. They had seven children.

- Embry P Eve - born 1885. He married Lucy who was born in 1893. They had at least three children - Jack Eve born 1913, Embry Eve born 1915 and Lucy Eve born 1917. They lived in Newman, Cowetta County.
