Henry Eve was born in 1550 in Beuchamp Roding. He was in Burnham on Crouch by 1573 and died in Althorne in 1590. His and wife Ann Rannd's children were born there:

  • Edward Eve - born 1578. He died in 1622 in Canewden He left a will leaving his lands in Beuchamp Roding inherited from his father to Edward his son, as well as land in Willingale and £150 at 21. To Mary his daughter £200 at 21. The rest to Elizabeth his wife.
  • Susan Eve - born 1580. She married in 1598 in Cold Norton.
  • Anthony Eve - Born about 1580. He died in 1627 in Maldon. He married Judith who died 1625. They had John Eve (born 1621) and five other children who died young in Maldon.
Henry Eve left a will made in 1589 as follows. He asked to be buried in Althorne Church.
  • To my son Henry Eve my houses and lands in Beuchamp Roding (16 acres) in the tenure of Richard my brother and £20 when he is 21 Also the lease of houses and grounds called Cockfylds in Beuchamp Roding after decease of his mother and my brother William. Also a joined bed with a joined ceiling and featherbed.
  • To Edward Eve £50.
  • To daughter Susannah £20.
  • To Anthony £20 when 21.
