19 George Twiggs Eve

George Twiggs Eve was born on April 3rd 1835. He died on Feb. 6th 1897. He was the son of Paul Fitzsimmons Eve (10)

He married Jennie Sutherland, on May 6th, 1869. She was born on the 2nd March 1844. She died on the 16th May 1924.

They had the following children;

  • Louise Eve - daughter born 1872
  • Paul F E Eve - son born 1875
  • Aphra Ann Eve - born Jan. 26th 1878. She married Willard Oakes Tirrill on the 25th April 1900.
  • Willie? D Eve - (daughter) - born March 1882

George T Eve - Listing shows George Twiggs Eve living in the 14th ward, Nashville. He is listed as 45 years old born in Georgia. In 1880 he was working as a receiving clerk for the railroad. Also listed are;

  • Louise Eve - daughter age 8 born Tennessee
  • Paul F E Eve - son age 5 born Tennessee
  • Aphra A Eve - daughter age 3 born Tennessee
1900 Census

 Jennie S. Eve - Listed as living in 9 Ward Nashville, Davidson County. She was born in March 1844 in Tennessee. Her parents were also born in Tennessee. She had had four children 3 of whom were alive in 1900. One child was living at home in 1900;

  • Willie? D Eve - (daughter) - born March 1882 in Tennessee. In 1900 she was 18 years old and single

20 Dr Duncan Eve

Dr Duncan Eve (30). He was born in May 1856 and died in 1957. He was the son of Paul Fitzsimmons Eve (10).

He married Alice Horton on the 1st November 1876. She was the daughter of Joseph W. Horton and Anne E. Thompson. She was born in 1855.

They had the following children.

  • Elizabeth T. Eve - born August 1878.
  • Paul E.Eve - born 1889? and died the same year.
  • Duncan Eve II (30) - born July 1880. He married Louise Stubblefield on the 15th April 1913.

In the 1900 census the following details appear;

Duncan Eve - born May 1856 living in Vine Street, Ward 7 Nashville, Davidson County. In 1900 he had been married for 23 years. He was born in Georgia. His father was born in Georgia and his mother was born in South Carolina. He is described as a physician and surgeon. His wife, Alice was born in June 1858. They has three children, two of whom were alive in 1900. Both were living at home. Elizabeth Eve born August 1878 and Duncan Eve born in July 1880.

 In the 1920 census the following details appear;

Duncan Eve - Listed as living in Nashville, Davidson County. He is listed as age 65. His occupation is given as surgeon. Also listed are;
  • Alice Eve - wife age 64
  • Elizabeth Eve - daughter age 36
In the 1930 census Duncan Eve is listed as 75 years old living in Nashville. His occupation is given as a Physician in general practice. Also listed are;
  • Alice Eve - wife, age 70.
  • Elizabeth Eve - daughter, age 45.
Background

Drs. Duncan Eve, both father and son, were popular and highly successful surgeons in Louisville & Nashville. Both apparently received high honors from the medical societies of America.

21 Paul F. Eve

Paul F. Eve - He was born in 1857. He was the son of Paul Fitzsimmons Eve (10).

He married Jennie W. Brown on the 15th Apr 1884?. They had the following children.

  • Mary Eve - born about 1889.
  • Paul F Eve - born about 1892. He married Martha Hays. They appear in the 1920 at the home of Thomas J Hays. See below;

The 1900 census records the following;

Paul F. Eve - Living in Ward 7, Nashville, Davidson County. He was born in July 1857 in Tennessee. His father was born in Georgia his mother was born in South Carolina. He married Jennie in about 1888. His wife Jennie was born in August 1860 in Tennessee. Her parents were also born in Tennessee. They has two children both of whom were alive in 1900. In 1900 Paul was a surgeon living with his wife, two children and a cook. the cooks name was Susan Coleman. She is described as being black aged 45 born in Tennessee. Details of the Eve children are set out below;
  • Mary B Eve - born 1889, age 11.
  • Paul F Eve (jr) - born 1892 age 7
The 1920 census records the following;

 Jennie B Eve - Listed as living in District 8, Davidson County. She is listed as being 60 years old and married. Also listed is Sallie ? age 60. She is described as her sister in law.

Paul F Eve jr - Listed as living in District 8, Davidson County. He is listed as age 26. He was married to Martha Eve, age 23. They are living at the home of her father - Thomas J Hays. His occupation is given as a grain broker.

In the 1930 census;

Jennie B Eve - Listed as living in Nashville. she was 69 years old, a widow. She was living alone.

Paul F Eve (Jr) - Listed as living in Nashville. He is listed as being 33 years old, a manager in a Bond Company. He married in about 1918. Also listed;
  • Martha H Eve - wife, age30.

22 Joseph Clark Eve

Joseph Clark Eve - He was born about 1835. He died between 1880 & 1885 San Marcos in Texas. He was the son of Joseph Clark Eve (12).

He married Anne B Pearsall. Census lists her being born in Alabama in about 1838.

They had the following children.

  • Charles Davies Eve - born about 1870. He is buried San Marcos Texas
  • Edward Pearsall Eve - Born 28th April 1873.. He had two choldren Joseph E Eve born1908 and Mark Oage Eve born 1912.
  • E P (NIna) Eve - born about 1874 (married name Via). She died in Colombus, Colorado Co Texas
  • Robert Dunlap Eve - born about 1877. He is buried San Marcos Texas

  • Joseph C Eve listed as County Surveyor. His wife Annie is listed as keeping house.
  • They must have moved to Texas from Georgia between 1874 and 1878 given the place of birth of their children.
