33 Catherine FitzSimons Eve

Catherine Fitzsimons Eve was born on the 15th Sept 1872 at St. Paul's, Augusta, Ga. She died on the 15th April 1928.

She married George Twiggs Bryan (who was born in 1857) on the 23rd June 1897. He died on the 10th Sept 1935 and is buried at the Magnolia Cemetery.

They had the following children.

• Goode Bryan - born 14th March 1898. He married Mary Dun on the 1st May 1940.
• Elizabeth Hammond Bryan - born 18th Oct 1899. She married A R Nicholson.
• George Twiggs Bryan (jr) - born 21st November 1902. He married Susan Webster on the 11th November 1934.
• Catherine Eve Bryan - born 10th Feb 1906. She married M E Arveson on the 1st June 1932.
• Sarah Rebecca Bryan - born 10th Feb 1906. She married L H Simkins on the 20th June 1931.

Background

George Twiggs Bryan was a Freight and Passenger Agent for the Charleston and Western Carolina Railroad in Greenville, South Carolina.

34 Edward Armstrong Eve

Edward Armstrong Eve was born on the 27th Oct 1873 in Aiken County South Carolina. He died on the 6th March 1965 and is buried in the Hammond Cemetery, Beech Island, South Carolina.

He married twice. His first marriage was to Saidee Simonds Ancrum who was born on the 6th June 1883 in Camden SC. She died in June 1943. His second marriage was to Eva Verdier in 1945 in Beaufort SC.

His children (all by his first wife) are

• Anna Calhoun Eve - born 31st Aug 1906. She married Walter Scott in 1935. She died in Washington DC in 1971. In 1930 she is listed in the census for Washington DC - see link below;

• Edward Armstrong Eve Jr (40) - born 5th October 1907. He married Elizabeth Prentis on the 5th May 1933.
• S Norwood Eve - born 15th November 1909. She married Lewis C Graybill on the 20th Feb 1937.
• Christopher FitzSimmons Eve - born 10th November 1911 in Charleston, SC. He married Clare Kurtz born 15th Dec 1917 on the 23th Dec1943. No children
• Mary Pringle Eve - born 13th March 1914 in Charleston SC. She married Sidney Smith who was born on the 24th Feb 1904 in Hampton. They married on the 5th June 1933. They lived in North Carolina.
• Catherine Elizabeth Eve - born 27th March 1916 in Charleston SC. She married Charles Newall Winship who was born in 1915 in Wakefield Mass. They married on the 1st July 1935. She later married James Chester Bibb on the 25th March 1935.She had one child and lived in Texas.
• Jane R Eve - born 13th Feb 1925. She died on the 13th Feb 1928.

35 Sara Jane Eve

Sarah Jane Eve was born on the 17th Aug 1875 probably at Whateley Plantation near Beech Island DC. She died on th 19th Feb 1958 and is buried at Beech Island.

She married Benjamin Warren Fair who was born on the 9th Feb 1866 in Edgefied SC. They married in September 1902. He died on the 20th Aug 1929.

They had the following children

• Elizabeth Hammond Fair - born 2nd March 1902. She married H N P Bond on the 28th June 1930.
• Benjamin Warren Fair Jr - born 3rd Aug 1904. He married Dorothy Gaillard in 1935.
• William Eve Fair - born 21st July 1906. He married Myrtle E Green on the 24th August 1930.
• Laura Fair - born 8th Aug 1908. She married Charles F Smyth MD on the 18th June 1938.
• Catherine Hyde Fair - born 27th September 1910. She married James F Hanahan on the 1st November 1934.
• James Hammond Fair - born 24th May 1912.
• Jane Eve Fair - born 30th Oct 1916. She married T T Wiheit on the 14th Oct 1939

36 William Raiford Eve

William Raiford Eve was born on the 4th July 1878 at Whatley Plantation Beech Island SC. He died on the 21st May 1965 in Orlando, Florida.

He married Marguerite Coffman who was born on the 10th July 1891 in Hodges Ferry VA. They married on the 17th Feb 1910 in Portsmouth VA. She died on the 13th June 1963.

They had the following children;.

• Lindsay Hammond Eve - born 11th December 1910. He married Mary Hollenbeck on the 28th Jan 1942. He died in August 1978. He lived in Fort Lauderdale, Broward County.
• William Raiford Eve III - born 10th May 1914. He married Louise Rodgers on the 13th June 1935 and Helen Perkins on the 29th August 1938. He died in Augusta on the 5th November 1948. See link below

• William R Eve - son age 16. Born South Carolina.

37 James Hammond Eve

James Hammond Eve was born on the 16th Jan 1880 in Aiken County. He died on the 17th Jan 1955 and is buried in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia.

He married Flora Lee Dancy (born 19th Jan 1880 Savannah, Chatham, Georgia). She died in Jan 1964 in Savannah. They married on the 7th June 1905 at St John's Church. They had the following children.

• James Hammond Eve - born 19th March 1906 in Savannah. He died on the 23rd February 1988. He married Mary Evalan Caison on the 15th April 1939. They had four children - James Hammond Eve III born October 1922, Thomas McDowell Eve born 1943, and Evalan Caison Eve Jr.
• Julia Dancy Eve - born 12th July 1908. She married Walter Charlton Hartridge Strong on the 14th June 1927.
• Flora Lee Eve - born 7th August 1910. She died in October 1978. She never married
• Wade Hampton Eve - born 30th March 1915. Married Sophie on the 10th March 1958. No issue.
