1 Alexander Eve

Alexander Eve was born abou 1675.

He married Martha, they had the following children born in Saxby:

  • Alexander Eve (2) - born 1700.
  • Adam Eve (3) - born about 1700.
  • Ann Eve - born 1711. She married Thomas Kew in 1747.
  • James Eve (4) - born about 1700.


Second Generation


2 Alexander Eve

Alexander Eve was born in 1700 at Beelsby.

He married Margaret and had the following children born in Bleesby.

  • Ann Eve - born 1727
  • Alexander Eve (5) - born 1730


3 Adam Eve

Adam Eve was born about 1700.

He married Ann and had the following children:

  • James Eve (6) - born 1725
  • Ann Eve - born 1730 at Waltham
  • Mary Eve - born 1731 at Waltham
  • Martha Eve - born 1734 at Waltham
  • Adam Eve - born 1734.
  • Elizabeth Eve - born 1736 at Scartho
  • Edward Eve (7) - born 1739
  • Elizabeth Eve - born 1740 at Scartho
  • Margaret Eve - born 1742 at Scartho

The following was found written in the Scartho Register written by Mr A J Eve of Sausthorpe.

In 1725, a farmer was crossing the Churchyard at Scartho when he heard a child crying - a beautiful richly dressed child with a bundle of clothes with a coronet. Having no children of his own yet, the famer took him home and called him James. The farmer was living at Hambleton Hill at the time near Markrt Raisen. Despite efforts to trace his origins he wasn't able to. This James was to become the father of the carpet manufacturer of Louth who was buried beneath a weeping Ash in the Scartho churchyard.


4 James Eve

James Eve was born about 1700.

He married Mary. They had one child.
