17. John Eve

He was born in 1761 in Braintree. He died there in 1839. He married Ester Ray in 1787 in Braintree and had two girls:

  • Ann Eve born 1787, She died in 1813
  • Hannah Eve - born 1790. She married Abraham Cooper in 1813 at Braintree.
In the census of 1821 Thomas was a wool comber and lived at Pounds End, Braintree.

18. William Eve

He was born in 1762 in Braintree, He died in 1845 at Bocking. He married Sara Porter in 1785 in Bocking. She died aged 62 in Bocking. They had the following children in Bocking:

  • William Eve (23) - born 1791
  • Ben Eve - born 1794
  • Thomas Eve (24) - Born 1796
  • Mary Eve Born 1798. She died the same year.
  • Isaac Eve - Born 1801. After the 1821 census nothing else is known.
  • John Eve - born 1803
  • James Eve Born 1806. He died before 1863. He is probably the father of Charles Eve born 1832. Click on the following link for details

In 1821 William and his family lived in Drury Lane, Braintree. He was a shoemaker. In 1841 he was living with his son Thomas in the High Street.

19. Ben Eve

He was born in 1763 in Braintree, He died in 1828 in Boreham. He married Sara Richell in 1797 at Boreham. She died aged 74 in 1847 at Boreham. They had the following children born at Boreham:

  • William Eve (25) - born 1797
  • John Eve - born 1800 . He died in 1830 in the lunatic asylum at Bethnal Green. East London.
  • Sara Eve - born 1801
  • Mary Eve - born 1803. She died in. 1876. She was a spinster dressmaker living with sister Ann until they died.
  • Ben Eve - born 1805. He died in 1852 in Boreham, He was a bachelor and lived with his mother Sara. He was baker like his father.
  • Rebecca Eve - born 1808. She died in 1833 of dropsy.
  • Charles Eve (26) - born 1810
  • Ann Eve - born 1813. She died in 1894. She was a bonnet maker.
20. John Eve

He was born in 1764 in Braintree. He died in 1845 in Bocking. He married Mary French in 1790 Bocking and she died aged 57 in Bocking, They had these children born in Bocking:

  • John Eve - born 1795
  • Mary Eve - born 1797
  • Mary Eve - born 1803
  • Ben Eve (27) - born 1805
  • Sophie Eve - born 1807
  • George Eve - born 1809
In 1807 John lived in Bradford Street, Bocking and worked as a Small Yarn Maker Braintree, Bocking and Coggeshall were the centre of the weaving industry in Essex.

21. Charles Eve

He was born in 1781 in Coggeshall. He died there in 1838. He married Katherine Faulkney in 1802 Little Coggeshall. She died in 1840 aged 66. They had the following children:

  • Charles Eve (28) - born 1802
  • Elizabeth Eve - born 1803. She married James Moore in 1821 at Coggeshall.
  • Katherine Eve - born 1807. She married Jacob Gomer in 1829 at Coggeshall
  • Abraham Eve (29) - born 1805
22. Abraham Eve

He was born in 1783. He died there in 1840. He married Mary Elliot, a widow in 1805 at Coggeshall She died aged 69 in 1853 also at Coggeshall. They had four children that died at birth then:

  • Emma Eve - born 1811
  • Emma Killingbeck Eve - born 1812. She married in 1830 to John Clay at Coggeshall
